Ben Hubert is a UK based artist primarily working with photography, sculpture and installation. Recurring themes in his work include the relationship between masculine representation and identity, and the figurative’s relationship to the obscure. His current project 'Plinthos' considers the complex nature of masculinity through various acts of the body and sculptural artefacts. With earlier works acknowledging subtler themes through analogue, alternative and moving image processes.
Hubert received the British Photography Award in 2020 and was shortlisted for the Hahnemuhle Student Award in 2024. His ongoing project 'Plinthos' has been exhibited at Giant Gallery and Photo London, Somerset House with a new exhibition in preparation for the Bargehouse, London this July.
