Rather than acting as a singular conceptual investigation, this ongoing work finds meaning through the intentional act of looking and collecting of images. My interest is in how meaning is formed through the internal context and language between photos. Here photography acts not as a tool that depicts the world as it is but rather as a representation of a surface, of an appearance of things. Through this, attention is drawn to the relationship between disparate subjects; the large sits within the small and perception gains significance.
